Our After School children are provided with a program that meets the security, independence and stimulation that each child needs. The staff offer a variety of fun, engaging activities for the children to choose from. There are computers, games, puzzles, art projects, and many manipulative toys for the children to select from on a daily basis. Outdoor play is an important part of each child’s development. Organized games as well as individual play are offered weather permitting. Our staff encourage and are available to help the children with homework.

Pride and Joy Academy has qualified, responsible staff who drive our buses. Each staff must have a valid driver’s license and a clear driving record. The staff is trained in proper drop off and pick up procedures at each of the individual schools. Careful attendance is taken to ensure that no child is left behind. Safety buzzers have been placed in the busses requiring the drivers to get up, check the bus for children and belongings, before disengaging the sound. All staff are CPR/First Aid certified in case of emergencies. Each driver has been provided with a phone so they can stay in close contact with the schools and Pride and Joy Academy at all times.
